Hooligans in Nuneaton
This has happened today while I was in the library filling one application form.
http://www.nuneaton-news.co.uk/News/More-than-60-arrests-as-violence-flares-before-Nuneaton-Town-game-16032013.htm
When I went home I just saw around 30 policemen arresting the hooligans that were inside of a pub and started to fight. It was like a movie but on real life. Do you think this could be 3D cinema?

England
Has you already know, I'm in England and this last weeks I've been working as a supply teacher. Is very nice because I go to the schools and I just need to be inside the class room and make sure that no one gets hurt. But, and there is always a but or a though, that depends the sentence and the emphasis that you want to give to yours thoughts, some times is a hard job. You are in charge of a class without knowing the students and with your "powers" limited. And this kids KNOW perfectly what you can or not DO.
Usually I have some work, the teacher has left for the students and I need to put them to work. Some of them work but the most they don't. I do what I can but of course is a hard quest. Besides being a teacher for another country with a strong accent doesn't help. The interesting thing on this is that I've been teaching English classes, Drama, Art, Science, History, Business and one Math class about adding and subtracting.
It has been a new experience every single day...

Another day, another school
Today I went to another school. That's the third school that I know. Today I went to supply a DRAMA lesson. During last week it was a ART lesson, today a DRAMA lesson, I think I'll change my degree or maybe not. Lets see maths it's numbers and letters, Drama is kind acting can you see the connection? For me to teach is also a litle bit of acting, so yes I can say that the subjetcs are related.
What subject will I delivery next time?????

One more School
Last week I had a new experience. Untill now I was just a teaching assistant at Nuneaton Academy, but last week I went to a new school. This school is located in Hinckley, a next door county, and I went there to do some supply teaching. Do you know what that means? In Portugal we have some hours on our timetable to cover some colleague that is off sick. In the UK, someone from the school rings a teacher or asks for one to a teaching agency. And then there I was, a maths teacher covering for an arts teacher. Now I can say that I was encharged of a class, it was my first time as a teacher in the UK.
In conclusion, now I can tell to everyone that I taught in three different countries and in two different continents.
I'm pleased...

School
Today, I've been for the first time in a public school in England. It is completely diferent of a Portuguese school and even more of an Guinean one. The school has Wi-Fi all around the place and in every room there is a interactive board. Finally I saw one with my eyes. The students are a little different from the ones that I had, like I say they are special. I'm at the school not as a teacher but as a volunteer, so I can help the teachers in the class room. I can´t wait to be in charge of my own group of students. But to do that I need to wait a little longer. I'm a patient man so I can wait.
I am pleased with my experience.

Snow
In the last couple of days the word that I use more often is SNOW. I think, and believe, that I won't need to say why - because there is snow everywhere. If you want I can sell you a few tonnes of it. If you don't believe it, see it with your own eyes, I found, already a van to carry it...
What I say to all the people that ask me if I have cold is always the same, " I spent the last four years in Africa, and the lowest temperatures that I got in there were 18ºC, so what do you think?" But I say the whole sentence shivering. But is really beautiful to look through the glace window and see everything white.
